Maoming ups sewage treatment capacity

Maoming in Guangdong province, with some 6.24 million residents, is boosting its sewage treatment capacity in a bid to bolster its function as part of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Administering two districts and three county-level cities, Maoming has finished building a 143.8-kilometer urban domestic sewage pipe network project in the Xiaodongjiang River Basin with water now being supplied. The project, built by China Railway No 4 Engineering Group Co Ltd, is one of the key environmental protection engineering undertakings in Guangdong.

Central bank conducts reverse repos

China's central bank conducted 6 billion yuan ($836.98 million) of seven-day reverse repos at an interest rate of 1.9 percent on Monday. The move is aimed at keeping liquidity reasonable and ample in the banking system, the People's Bank of China said.
