Shanghai rescue team in action in Zhuozhou

Comprising seven members, Z-Care is the first rescue team from Shanghai to join the relief efforts. The team set out from Shanghai and drove non-stop to Zhuozhou on July 31.
The typhoon battered the province with heavy rains from July 27 to Aug 2 and affected multiple areas. Zhuozhou was among the worst-hit, with the average rainfall hitting 355.1 millimeters between Saturday and 11 am on Tuesday. The city, which has six rivers, was also inundated by flooding that occurred upstream, according to local authorities. More than 133,000 people in the city were affected by the floods.
