"The number of international flights has increased since January. During the summer season, the growing trend has remained," he said, adding that the resumption of domestic planes is significant.

To better help international passengers, the airport's have prepared translation machines at the security check counters of the airport's international island, said Wei Ruili from the airport's security check department.

During the summer season, extreme weather, such as storms, is more likely to happen. The airport has prepared to provide better service to passengers who might be inconvenienced.

To prepare for possible massive delays during the summer caused by extreme weather, the airport plans to place a QR code on site.

"Passengers can scan the QR code and enter the airline's application to reschedule or cancel their plans accordingly," said Wang Yan from the airport's quality service department.

She also noted that public transportation will be extended if a massive delay happens.

As of Thursday, no massive delay has occurred at the airport this summer, she said.

On Friday, the National Meteorological Center renewed a blue alert for rainstorms.
