The International Brotherhood of Teamsters said on Wednesday it would resume contract talks with UPS next week. The Teamsters union said it would go on strike on Aug 1 if it could not reach an agreement with UPS before the current contract expires on July 31. Experts have warned that the strike could delay millions of daily shipments, which could cause supply chain disruptions that could fuel inflation.
