INSPECTIONS PASS 190,000
Border inspection authorities in Shanghai inspected 192,000 inbound and outbound travelers during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the Shanghai General Station of Immigration Inspection announced recently. On average, 64,000 people were inspected per day from June 22 to 24. Shanghai Pudong International Airport inspected nearly 165,000 inbound and outbound travelers, ranking first among all airports in the country.
AIR ROUTE RESUMES
A China Southern Airlines flight flew from Wuhan Tianhe International Airport, in the capital city of Central China's Hubei province, to Dubai on Thursday, marking the resumption of the passenger air route. This is the first international passenger air route from Wuhan to the Middle East after a hiatus of more than three years due to COVID-19. By August, Wuhan will resume five more air routes to international metropolises including Sydney, Tokyo and London.
JET DELIVERED
Airbus has delivered an aircraft assembled in North China's Tianjin to a European client for the first time. Hungary's Wizz Air, the largest Central and Eastern European low-cost carrier, took delivery of the A321neo passenger jet in Tianjin on Tuesday. The plane was assembled in Airbus's Final Assembly Line, which was inaugurated in 2008. It is the first Airbus commercial aircraft assembly line outside of Europe.

TRAIN STATION TESTED
As the largest wave-shaped railway station under construction in the country, the new Xiamen North Station by China Railway Construction Group has entered the stage of system integration and testing. Covering a floor area of 250,000 square meters, the new station developed by China Railway Construction Group is an extension of the Xiamen North Station in the coastal city of Fujian province. Together they form the world's largest twin-station expansion project.
DRINKS TASTING
Seventeen Light Years, a mild alcohol brand of Shanghai Guijiu, hosted a tasting event named Yes Shake last week. It was part of a series of activities that the liquor producer has launched throughout June in response to the Shanghai government's call to boost the city's nighttime economy and help to build the city into an international consumption center. The event featured new varieties of Seventeen Light Years, mixing drinks using the brand's liquor as a base, dancing to live music and participating in on-site interactive games.
