Cold-chain logistics reports steady growth
China's cold-chain logistics sector expanded steadily in the first five months of the year, industry data showed. The total value of the sector touched 2.65 trillion yuan ($369.11 billion) between January and May, up 4.1 percent year-on-year, according to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. During the period, total investment in China's cold-chain logistics infrastructure exceeded 14 billion yuan, up 6.6 percent from a year earlier.
Courier sector handles 60b parcels in H1
China's courier sector saw delivery volumes exceed 60 billion parcels as of Saturday, mirroring the country's economic vitality, according to the State Post Bureau. This was achieved 172 days earlier than in 2019, prior to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as 34 days earlier than in 2022, data from the bureau showed.
