Chinese envoy: True democracy, human rights about respecting differences

China's ambassador to the US said that "true democracy and human rights are about respecting each other's choice of democracy models and human rights practices".

Ambassador Xie Feng spoke at the 53rd General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), held from June 21-23 in Washington DC and attended by more than 30 foreign ministers or vice- foreign ministers of the region.
