Shanghai Media Group announces series on Yangtze River Delta region

Shanghai Media Group announced on June 20 the kickoff of Great Jiangnan, a documentary series featuring the distinctive culture of the Yangtze River Delta region.

The documentary will consist of nine episodes, each about 50-minutes' long. Produced by the team led by Xu Guanqun, the series is expected to be screened in 2025.

Since the Song Dynasty (960-1279), the lower Yangtze River region has cultivated a unique culture, with preeminent achievements in literature, arts, economy and other fields, said Song Jiongming, president of the group.
