Visitors throng Hunan scenic area

Magnificent scenes appeared around the Bailong Elevator in the Wulingyuan scenic area of Zhangjiajie, Hunan province, on Sunday, attracting tourists and photographers.

The sea of white clouds and mist floating around the peaks and forests, turned the area into a fairyland.

Visitors also got a chance to experience taking the elevator through the sea of clouds.

Wulingyuan, a world natural heritage and one of the first world geoparks in China, had received more than 2 million visitors as of mid-June, 21.74 percent more then the same period in 2019, and tourists reached a record high.
