'Transformers: Rise of the Beasts' stays on top of China's box office chart

BEIJING - "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts," the latest sequel in the Transformers franchise, continued to lead the Chinese daily box office chart on its fifth day of screening on Tuesday, data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed.

The sci-fi action franchise generated a revenue of around 17.96 million yuan ($2.5 million) on Tuesday.

American animation "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" came in second, raking in 6.16 million yuan.

"Fast X," the latest installment in the Fast and Furious action franchise, ranked third on the box office chart with a daily earning of about 4.45 million yuan on Tuesday.
