This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, which was proposed by China in 2013 to build trade and infrastructure networks linking Asia with Europe and Africa.

Statistics from the Ministry of Commerce show between 2013 and 2022, China's trade with countries along the Belt and Road doubled to $2.07 trillion from $1.04 trillion, with an average annual growth rate of 8 percent. Last year, China's imports and exports to participating countries rose 19.4 percent year-on-year to 13.84 trillion yuan ($1.95 trillion).

China's leading dairy supplier Yili Group has strengthened its global layout; widened its global vision; and built a network comprising a global resource system, a global innovation system and a global market system in regions where the dairy industry is well developed, such as Asia, Europe, the Americas and Oceania.

As a participant, practitioner and beneficiary of the Belt and Road Initiative, Yili continues to promote global cooperation and enrich the supply system of milk sources.

"Yili Quality Experience Month" campaign was formally being launched on June 1, the same day as World Milk Day and International Children's Day. To salute the spirit of Silk Road, this year's campaign features a special "milk Silk Road", tracing sources of Yili quality products.

Last year, Yili upgraded its "Visiting Yili" campaign, held for nine consecutive years, to the "Yili Quality Experience Month," showing consumers how to feed dairy cows nutritiously, how to milk cows and the process of filling milk at production lines.

During this year's event, Yili will broaden its perspective of the world to trace quality products. Through the global industrial layout, Yili conveys multiple dimensions of quality, such as milk sources, R&D, production, resource complement, cooperation and win-win to consumers.

The "milk Silk Road" reveals some milestones in Yili's globalization process, including Yili Modern Intelligent Health Valley, designed to be the world's "Dairy Silicon Valley"; Yili Innovation Center Europe; Yili high-quality pastures in New Zealand; the Jersey dairy cow brought back from Jersey in the British Channel Islands; and ice cream production facilities in Southeast Asia.

Just like the meaning of Silk Road--exchange and cooperation, Yili brings all-new ideas for local industries during the exploration of the milk sources and offers global consumers high-quality products by integrating global resources, further improving the global market system.

Yili is building a "dairy Silk Road" to share health with the world and so far it has taken lead in milk sources, pasture breeding, innovation, R&D, food production and retails.

Yili has built 75 production bases in its global resource system, with over 2,000 partners in 39 countries across six continents, becoming essential for Yili's global development.

Gathering global innovation and intelligence, Yili has also scaled up its efforts to improve the global innovation system. Yili has established 15 innovation centers as well as built an innovation ecosystem that bring together enterprises, universities, research institutes and end-users to promote innovation of the global dairy industry.

Yili is also dedicated to exploring international markets and building a global market system, in a bid to serve more global consumers. In Southeast Asia, Yili owns Yili Thailand subsidiary Chomthana and Yili Indonesia Dairy production base, establishing a "dual centers" pattern covering the Southeast Asian market.

Yili's products such as liquid milk, milk powder, yogurt and cheese have entered more than 60 countries and regions. Hero products such as AMBPOMIAL yogurt, Youngfun, Cremo and Joyday ice cream, and Westgold butter are gaining popularity among global consumers.

Yili will endeavor to help the construction of the Belt and Road; make the "dairy Silk Road" into a friendship road full of nutritious, healthy and delicious products; safeguard global health and fulfill the dream of sharing health with the world.
