6th CIIE anticipates involvement of Northern Irish enterprises

Representatives of Northern Irish enterprises of the United Kingdom attended a business symposium of the sixth China International Import Expo on local time May 27.

Zhang Meifang, China's consul general in Belfast, Northern Ireland, attended the symposium and expressed the consulate general's willingness to continue acting as a facilitator to help Northern Irish companies participate in the expo and bring their high-quality products, such as dairy products, whisky and meat, as well as technologies and services related to new energy, finance, life sciences and advanced manufacturing, to the Chinese market.

Liu Fuxue, deputy director-general of the CIIE Bureau, said that the CIIE is a new opportunity for Northern Irish companies to enter China. He welcomed Northern Irish companies to participate in the expo and know more about the CIIE.

During the symposium, representatives of COSCO Europe Company introduced their achievements and measures for providing long-distance transportation services to the CIIE.
