The 2023 Giro d'Italia RIDE LIKE A PRO Yangtze River Delta Open kicks off in Qingpu, Shanghai


This is the third time that the Giro d'italia RIDE LIKE A PRO Yangtze River Delta Open has been successfully launched in Qingpu, Shanghai. Over years since its inception, the event has been closely bound up with the demonstration area of the ecological green integrated development in the Yangtze River Delta. In alignment with national strategies such as the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the Import Expo, it is dedicated to creating a highly influential cycling event and featured festival in the region.
The event not only brings advanced event management concepts to Chinese cycling sports, promoting a deep integration of national fitness and health, but also leverages the construction goals of Qingpu New Town. By organizing a cycling event having the high aesthetics of beautiful Jiangnan characteristics, it facilitates interactions between Qingpu, Wujiang and Jiashan. On the occasion of the fourth year of the Yangtze River Delta, it showcases the fruitful results of its ecological green integrated development to the world.
Scheduled for May 20th and 21st, this year's event comprises a circuit race with various competition groups on the 20th and the 88km road race on the 21st. The road race route traverses three areas within the integrated demonstration zone, commencing and concluding in Qingpu district, Shanghai. It will pass through Jiashan county, Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, as well as Wujiang district, Suzhou, Jiangsu province. Ever since the inaugural Giro d'Italia RIDE LIKE A PRO Yangtze River Delta Open in China, the event has consistently upheld the standards set by renowned international competitions. This commitment has played a pivotal role in expediting the transformation and upgrading of the sports industry and its related sectors in the Yangtze River Delta Ecological Green Integration Demonstration Zone. Furthermore, it serves as a vibrant showcase of the demonstration zone's prosperous new image to both domestic and international audiences.
