Xi expressed readiness to work together with the five countries to make the China-Central Asia mechanism a key platform for in-depth cooperation among the six countries.

Tokayev said that China holds a position of particular importance in his country's foreign policy, and the bilateral relations are built upon a profound friendship and solid mutual trust.

Kazakhstan is willing to work with China to strengthen their permanent comprehensive strategic partnership and expand cooperation on trade, tourism, people-to-people exchanges and at local levels, he said.

Tokayev expressed delight over the two countries' agreement to establish a visa-free regime, which he said will promote bilateral exchanges.

The joint building of the Belt and Road is a great initiative, and Kazakhstan will continue to actively take part in it, said Tokayev, who also spoke highly of the significance of the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative proposed by the Chinese president.

Kazakhstan is willing to work with China to make full use of the China-Central Asia mechanism to jointly promote regional security, stability and growth, he said.
