Machines bring efficiency for farmers in Heilongjiang

As of Sunday, Heilongjiang province had finished spring sowing on more than 6.7 million hectares of dry farmland — 60 percent of the planned sown area, the province's Agriculture and Rural Affairs Department said on Monday.
At the No 290 Company of Beidahuang Agricultural Reclamation Group, a State-owned enterprise, farmers recently were busy working on their vast farmland with the help of machinery.
The company has 51,333 hectares of arable land, including 17,333 hectares of dry farmland for growing corn and soybeans.
