Cat murals draw crowds to old street

Shanghai's Fangbang Middle Road has been drawing hordes of people following the introduction of giant cat murals on the walls.

Many locals, especially youngsters, have been flocking to the spot to take pictures with the cat murals, which were designed based on online submissions of cat images.

Giant prints of the photos have been plastered on the walls or doors of stores on the street, which connects an old-fashioned theatre in the western end to the eastern side near the Bund.
