Warehouse storage sector reports growth
China's warehouse storage activity further consolidated its expansion trend in April, according to industry data. The index tracking the sector's development stood at 53.7 percent last month, up 3.5 percentage points from March, according to a survey jointly released by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing along with CMST Development Co Ltd.
Hefei Metro Line 6 sees major progress
The urban rail network in Hefei, Anhui province, reached another milestone, with a two-way section under construction on Line 6 being dug through over the weekend, said the State builder participating in the infrastructure project. China Railway 24th Bureau Group Corp Ltd, a unit of centrally administered China Railway Construction Corp, said the route was laid underground through many high-risk areas in the provincial capital, such as under office buildings, expressways and a railway station. Construction workers paid extra attention to this as tunneling work runs the risk of leading to settlement of nearby buildings and foundations, CR24 said.
Qinzhou's foreign trade increases
Qinzhou Port handled 31.89 billion yuan ($4.61 billion) of goods imported and exported via the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 77.4 percent year-on-year. The land-sea trade corridor is a trade and logistics passage jointly built by western Chinese provincial regions and ASEAN countries, with Qinzhou and several other ports in the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region as major trade gateways. Since the beginning of this year, new materials and new energy industries have become new driving forces improving the quality and volume of foreign trade via the land-sea trade corridor, according to the Customs of Nanning, capital of Guangxi.
