Abbott on Monday announced that its renovated and upgraded all-in-one Customer Experience Center in Shanghai, the first of its kind in the world, is now ready to showcase all of the company's state-of-the-art technologies.

The technologies include those in the fields of diagnostics, cardiovascular care, nutrition, diabetes care and established pharmaceuticals businesses.

The upgraded center, which provides a more customer-centered experience and promotes communication with partners in the country, will aim to contribute to the high-quality development of China's healthcare industry, according to the Chicago-based company.

Established in 2017, the 5,000-square-meter Abbott Customer Experience Center has various functions and services, including showcasing innovative diagnostics solutions, training and education, and customer support.

That same day, Abbott held its first health forum with renowned medical experts to increase public awareness of the importance of regular health examinations and reinforce the importance of early screening.

"Early diagnosis of diseases, from cancers to the seasonal flu, means the best chance for timely and successful treatment," said Ouyang Ping, director of the health management center at Nanfang Hospital Affiliated with Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, Guangdong province.

Abbott said that it will continue to improve the accessibility and affordability of its competitive diagnostic solutions in the country and work closely with local partners to support early diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
