Website to boost new era thought campaign

An official website has been launched for the study and implementation of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, together with an official account on social media platform WeChat. Focusing on the guiding principle and plan by the Communist Party of China Central Committee to launch the Party-wide campaign, the official website and account will publicize and interpret important events attended and important remarks delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping.

Anti-graft authorities punishes 111,000 in Q1

Disciplinary inspection and supervisory agencies in China punished 111,000 people, including one official at the provincial or ministerial level, in the first quarter of this year, according to the country's top anti-graft body. They were involved in 138,000 cases, according to figures released in a statement by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection of the Communist Party of China and the National Commission of Supervision on Saturday. Nation awards 20 female scientists

Twenty young women scientists and five teams involved in researching air pollution prevention among other fields received awards on Saturday. At the ceremony, which was hosted by the All-China Women's Federation and the China Association for Science and Technology, Shen Yueyue, vice-chairwoman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and president of the ACWF, encouraged women scientists to bear in mind fundamental national interests and public concern. Shen called on them to achieve breakthroughs in original and pioneering scientific and technological research, and tackle bottleneck problems in key and core technologies to enhance national self-reliance.
