Hotel takes center stage in 'Hilton. For the Stay' scheme

Guests who visit Canopy by Hilton Xi'an Qujiang for the first time will be impressed by how well the hotel integrates with local neighborhoods and offers accommodation experiences, in tune with the "Hilton. For the Stay" brand platform launched by the hospitality group.

The platform focuses on the concept that "it matters where you stay" to put hotels themselves back onto center stage of the group's marketing efforts.

Located in the center of the Grand Tang Mall in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, which recreates the urban life of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), the hotel's design, inside and out, is penetrated by Tang culture.

Hotels of Canopy, Hilton's lifestyle brand, are an extension of local culture, according to the group. It operates three other Canopy hotels in China — one in Chengdu, Sichuan province and two in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.

The cafe in Canopy by Hilton Xi'an Qujiang is decorated with costume patterns of the Tang Dynasty, while on the wall behind the reception desk hangs a painting titled Dream Back to the Great Tang. Such attractive cultural elements can be found across its 125 guest rooms, suites and lofts.

A highlight is that all rooms are equipped with Dunhuang-themed digital keys, which were launched by Hilton and the Dunhuang Museum in 2022 to offer guests an easy and enjoyable experience. The digital keys showcase fine drawings of flying Apsaras, which are considered a symbol of the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, Gansu province.

The hotel offers four connecting rooms, which allow guests traveling with families or friends to have peace of mind, knowing everyone in their group is just a door away.

In addition, the hotel plans to introduce experience programs focusing on intangible cultural heritage, as well as Grand Tang Mall tours in which guests can dress up in Tang Dynasty-style clothing.

From interior design and services to the choices available in the Hilton Honors app to personalized stays and more, Canopy by Hilton Xi'an Qujiang is committed to the idea — "Hilton. For the Stay", which places the hotel center stage, elevating the role and importance of a hotel stay.

The hospitality industry today has become almost entirely focused on destinations, not the stay itself, the group said. However, Hilton is proving that at the heart of a great trip is a great stay, as consumer research showed, it added.

"It matters where you stay," according to the hotel group. "With 'Hilton. For the Stay,' we want to tell our guests that all of our efforts are for their good stay in Hilton," said Huang Jie, a senior executive.
