Spring is full of exuberance and vitality, seeing migratory birds return to Zhangye, Northwest China’s Gansu province. Volunteers from the State Grid Zhangye Power Supply Company have spared no efforts to save these birds from the dangers posed by power lines by installing artificial nests for them.

As of now, 22 out of the 160 new "houses" have welcomed their inhabitants. Instead of driving away birds, this move achieves a win-win situation of "electricity plus ecology", according to the power workers.
