China-Europe freight train services grow
China-Europe freight train services saw robust growth in the first quarter, official data showed. China State Railway Group Co Ltd said the number of China-Europe freight train journeys surged 15 percent year-on-year to 4,186 trips in the first three months. About 450,000 twenty-foot equivalent units of goods were handled by the freight trains from January to March, up 28 percent from a year ago.
Jiangsu sees steady growth of intl ships
East China's Jiangsu province saw its international routes register steady growth in the number of entry-exit ships and passengers in March, showing a strong recovery trend for its foreign trade. The number of ships and passengers passing through river and sea ports in Jiangsu increased 27.6 percent and 29.2 percent year-on-year, respectively, in March, according to the provincial entry-exit border inspection station. Due to the rapid recovery in foreign trade and other positive factors, Jiangsu's ports saw a rebound in traffic, with the number of entry-exit ships rising 18.3 percent compared with the figure in February.
