High-quality development of Shanghai's World Expo Area enters a new chapter

A conference about the high-level economic development of the World Expo Area in Shanghai was held at the Qiantan Center on April 12.

During the event, attendees discussed topics like industrial building, opening-up and collaboration, capital and finance, and technological innovation in the World Expo Area, and how Shanghai can become a pacesetter in terms of the development of Chinese cities.

The World Expo Area in Shanghai is a powerful investment magnet and has the highest density and largest number of central enterprise clusters in Shanghai. The area is home to four specialized industrial clusters: international trade in commodities, "dual carbon", industrial finance, and biopharmaceuticals.

Shi Yinhua, Deputy Secretary of the Party Group, Deputy Director-General of the World Expo's Administration Bureau, said at the convention that the World Expo Area is today a shining example of integration between a city and its industries.

The World Expo Central Activity Area currently has 13 first-class cultural and sports facilities, including the Shanghai Grand Opera House and the Shanghai Jiushi International Equestrian Center. This central activity area often hosts high-profile sports events, cultural exhibitions and forums, and plays a key role in promoting Shanghai's reputation as an international cultural hub.

The World Expo Area has in recent years been focused on improving its business environment to attract more enterprises. The area is also constantly exploring new paths in investment management, trade regulation, finance and other fields.

The "Joint Plan for High-Quality Development in the World Expo Area" was also released during the conference.

According to the participating enterprises, this conference not only injects strong impetus and confidence to the World Expo Area's economic development, but also offers a collaborative platform for enterprises. It is believed that the area will continue to adhere to the development concept of "reform, innovation, coordination, green, openness, and sharing" to drive high-quality economic development.
