Tencent reports rising revenues, net profits
Chinese internet giant Tencent has reported year-on-year increases in its revenue and net profit for the fourth quarter of 2022, despite drops in its annual earnings. Tencent raked in 145 billion yuan ($21 billion) in revenue in the quarter to Dec 31, up 0.5 percent year-on-year. Its net profit rose by 19 percent year-on-year to 29.7 billion yuan in the fourth quarter.
Hebei Jan-Feb foreign trade grows 8%
North China's Hebei province saw its foreign trade grow 8 percent year-on-year to 86.67 billion yuan ($12.6 billion) in the first two months of this year, according to local Customs. Its exports totaled 48.44 billion yuan, up 3.6 percent year-on-year, while imports hit 38.23 billion yuan, up 14.4 percent, data from Shijiazhuang Customs showed.
