American users say they love TikTok, oppose possible ban

The US government has requested that China's ByteDance sell the immensely popular short-form video app TikTok, the overseas version of Douyin, or face a national ban, according to news reports.

TikTok had more than 100 million active monthly users over the age of 18 in the United States as of January, making it one of the most popular social media outlets in the country, according to TikTok data.
