China remains largest logistics market
China maintained its position as the world's largest logistics market for the seventh consecutive year in 2022, industry data showed. Total revenue of the country's logistics sector came in at 12.7 trillion yuan ($1.82 trillion) last year, according to the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. China's top 50 logistics companies raked in about 2 trillion yuan in revenue last year, with a batch of internationally competitive enterprises starting to emerge in the market.
Paper product export volume surges
China's export volume of pulp, paper and paper products surged 40 percent year-on-year to 13.1 million metric tons in 2022. The export value of these products reached $32.05 billion, up 32.4 percent, said the National Development and Reform Commission. China reported steady growth in newsprint production last year, with output up 1 percent from a year earlier to reach 904,000 tons.
