Sany bets big on green development in Jiangsu

Chinese machinery giant Sany Group has launched Sany & Zhongding New Energy Building Materials Industrial Park in Yancheng, Jiangsu province, to boost the city's green development.
Many of Sany's electric products, including 80 electric mixers, 40 charging piles and two electric loaders, were delivered on Saturday.
With total investment of nearly 100 million yuan ($14.4 million), the industrial park consists of a 2-megawatt photovoltaic power generation project, 200 pure electric concrete mixer trucks and several electric loaders and energy supplement facilities.
The photovoltaic power generation project provides more than 3 million kilowatt-hours of green energy and saves 2,400 metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions every year. The 80 electric mixers and two loaders delivered can save 6,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, and the industrial park can reduce more than 8,400 tons of carbon dioxide annually.
Xu Qilou, deputy head of Yancheng's Yandu district, said: "The launch of the industrial park and the delivery of the equipment show the city's concrete industry has stepped on the fast track of green development. The government will offer corresponding support.”
Xiang Ru'an, senior vice-president of Sany Group, said: "In the face of the future wave of digitalization and electrification in the construction machinery industry, Sany will increase its investment, innovate on the existing business model, fully promote electrification, international and digitalization and contribute to the green development of Yancheng as well as other cities in China."
