Shenzhen to build 10,000 5G base stations

China's southern metropolis of Shenzhen in Guangdong province will build 10,000 5G base stations this year, local authorities said. By this year-end, the 5G base stations will be distributed at a density of 42 per 10,000 people and 37 per square kilometer in the city, according to an action plan issued by the municipal industry and information technology bureau. Since 2019, Shenzhen has constructed more than 65,000 5G base stations.

Reverse repos inject 300b yuan into system

The People's Bank of China, the country's central bank, continued its open market operations on Thursday to inject 300 billion yuan ($43.46 billion) into the banking system through seven-day, 2 percent reverse repos, in order to keep liquidity stable at the end of the month.
