Wang Yi to visit France, Italy, Hungary, Russia
Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs Wang Yi will set out on a nine-day trip on Tuesday to France, Italy, Hungary and Russia, Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin announced on Monday. Wang Yi, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, will also attend the 59th Munich Security Conference. He will deliver a speech at the conference's China session to communicate the vision of common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable security, make clear China's abiding commitment to peaceful development and share China's position on major international issues.
Pornography rings busted in crackdown
Some 13,000 cases involving pornography and illegal publications were resolved last year, with 4,000 people prosecuted, the office of the national working group for cracking down on pornography and illegal publications said on Monday. The office also published details of 10 cases on its website, which mainly related to pirated publications and distributing pornography online. For example in March, police in Nanjing, Jiangsu province, caught a group of six suspected of illegally editing, printing and selling books, and seized 202,000 illegal publications sold online. The suspects were charged with operating an illegal business.
