Report: Climate change may be to blame for fungal infection

Deadly fungal infections are spreading across the US, and scientists said climate change may be to blame. Valley fever, an infection caused by coccidioides, a fungus that mostly founded in Southwest — warm and dry environments, now have cropped up in other parts of the country. Histoplasma infections, once common only in the Midwest, have been found in 94 percent of states.
