Arab nations welcome Chinese tourists

Both Egypt and the League of Arab States have welcomed Chinese tourists and expressed hope that more of them will visit in the near future.
In a meeting with visiting Chinese Foreign Minister Qin Gang on Sunday in Cairo, Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi noted that China has optimized and adjusted its prevention and control measures for COVID-19.
The Egyptian people warmly welcome Chinese friends coming to Egypt for travel, he said.
Qin told reporters that China endorses Egypt's welcoming of Chinese tourists, and it believes the number of Chinese travelers and flights to Egypt will recover in the near future and even surpass the numbers in the period before the outbreak of the pandemic.
In a separate meeting with Qin on Sunday, Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, secretary-general of the League of Arab States, said China has provided valuable help to the Arab countries, facilitating their success in fighting COVID-19.
The grouping welcomes more Chinese citizens to visit Egypt and other Arab states for travel and economic and trade cooperation, he added.
