Gas pipeline completed for North China

Construction of China's first natural gas pipeline servicing Xiong'an New Area in Hebei province was completed on Saturday, Hebei Daily reported.
With a total length of 413.5 kilometers, the pipeline starts from neighboring Tianjin municipality, passes Langfang and runs into Baoding in Hebei, adjacent to Xiong'an. It has a designed annual capacity of 6.6 billion cubic meters and cost 8.6 billion yuan ($1.3 billion), according to media reports.
Construction started in April 2021.
Connected to a number of other pipelines, the new one can transport imported natural gas from Tianjin to areas in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, as well as other places in North China.
