Railway sector enhances services for travel rush

Flexible and off-peak leave encouraged; Ventilation and disinfection will be enhanced
Passengers are encouraged to take a flexible and off-peak leave for the upcoming holiday, to reduce pressure on what is estimated to be a significant increase in passenger trips. The railway departments will guide the passengers to follow personal protection measures such as keeping social distancing, wearing a face mask at all times and avoiding crowds.
Ventilation and disinfection of restrooms, escalator handrails and seats in the train stations will also be enhanced. Contact-free services have also been expanded on trains and at railway stations to reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
Strict standard will be implemented to better protect the health of frontline railway workers; and emergency response work will be carried out in an orderly manner.
