Chemical fiber industry sees growth in revenue
China's chemical fiber industry registered growth in its operating revenue in the first 10 months of this year, official data showed. Major companies with annual revenues of at least 20 million yuan ($2.87 million) in the industry raked in 903.8 billion yuan from January to October, up 6.8 percent year-on-year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The total profits of the industry, however, slumped 65.5 percent from a year earlier to 19 billion yuan, the ministry said. During the January-October period, the total output of the industry reached 56.25 million metric tons, up 0.4 percent year-on-year, data from the ministry showed.
CR24's milestone in Anhui rail project
China Railway 24th Bureau Group Corp Ltd, a unit of State-owned China Railway Construction Corp, said its team recently completed cap installation at Science Avenue Station, Hefei Metro Line 6, Anhui province. Part of the first phase project of the urban rail line, the station marks the fifth station to have finished cap installation, laying a solid foundation for a timely launch of operations, CR24 said. With a maximum designated speed of 100 kilometers per hour, Line 6 aims to facilitate urban trips between eastern and western districts of the city and those to local railway stations.
