New cargo flight to UK opens from Changsha

A cargo flight loaded with 33 tons of e-commerce goods departed Changsha Huanghua International airport on Thursday, heading to the United Kingdom.
It is a new cargo route from Hunan province to Europe that opened this year. Operated by European Airlines, three flights are currently scheduled weekly.
The opening of the route from Changsha to Bournemouth, UK, is expected to encourage trade between Hunan province and European countries.
This year, eight cargo routes have resumed or opened from Changsha. Destinations include Osaka, Japan; Bangkok, Thailand; and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
New measures have been implemented by airport customs in Changsha to enhance clearance efficiency.
According to the airport, cargo flights in the third quarter numbered 471, a 33.4 percent increase over Q2 this year.
