C919 gets approval for mass production
China's aviation regulator issued a production certificate allowing for mass production of the homegrown C919 narrow-body jet, manufacturer Commercial Aviation Corp of China said on Tuesday. The C919, a rival to the Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX single-aisle jet families, had received a certificate in September declaring the model is safe to fly.
Logistics sector reports growth
China's logistics sector reported steady growth in the first 10 months of 2022, according to an industry report on Tuesday. Social logistics rose 3.6 percent year-on-year to 275.4 trillion yuan ($38.26 trillion) in the January-October period, said the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing. During the period, the logistics for industrial products climbed 4 percent year-on-year, as industrial production continued to expand, according to the report.
Guangzhou to host int'l finance forum
The 19th International Finance Forum Annual Meeting will be held in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, from Friday to Sunday, organizers said. The meeting, which will be held online, will center around the theme "The Ever-Changing World: Reshaping Our Shared Future". Topics such as the global economic outlook, debt risks and prevention, climate investment and carbon pricing, the Belt and Road Initiative and development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area will be covered during the meeting.
