The Chinese government is reviewing the third batch of massive wind and solar power projects in China's Gobi Desert and other arid regions, the National Energy Administration said on Monday. Beijing-based ETEXE Technologies Ltd, a high-tech firm focusing on the agricultural industrial chain, said it has won this year's "Dingge Award" with its Fertex platform, which offers information and trading services. "Digitalization can play a bigger role in the agricultural sector by boosting efficiency, stability and accuracy. With digitalized tools increasingly being applied in the sector, grain security and livelihood in rural areas will also be improved," said Feng Mingwei, chairman of the high-tech firm.

Reverse repos of 5b yuan boost liquidity

The People's Bank of China, the country's central bank, on Monday conducted 5 billion yuan ($705 million) of seven-day, 2 percent reverse repos to maintain reasonable and ample liquidity in the banking system. A reverse repo is a process in which the central bank purchases securities from commercial banks through bidding, with an agreement to sell them back in the future.
