Smart technology takes center stage at World Internet Conference

The 2022 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit kicked off Wednesday in Wuzhen, East China's Zhejiang province.

Themed "Towards a Shared Digital Future in a Connected World -- Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace," the three-day event has brought together more than 2,000 representatives, including government officials, business leaders and think tank professionals, from over 120 countries and regions.

The Light of Internet Expo, part of the WIC, has attracted over 400 domestic and foreign companies both online and offline, with their latest innovations and cutting-edge technological applications on display.

The concept of metaverse, 6G, human-computer interaction, internet security, and industrial robot is in the spotlight., one of China's food delivery platforms, is showcasing its new smart helmet for delivery workers to better protect their safety.

With Bluetooth headphones embedded in the helmet, the workers are able to receive orders, reply to messages and navigate on the road by voice command.

Japanese electronics brand Seiko Epson is demonstrating its new-generation augmented reality glasses, which can be applied in various scenarios, such as online education, tour guidance and remote assistance in the manufacturing sector.

Chinese telecom giant China Mobile has released the metaverse digital human powered by optical motion capture technology. When a person is exercising or dancing, the digital figure can imitate the gesture and facial expression simultaneously.
