Epson to invest more in China
Japanese electronics maker Seiko Epson will invest more in green and digital solutions in China and join hands with local partners to expand its presence in the world's second-largest economy, said Akihiro Fukaishi, president of Epson China.
This year marks the third consecutive year that Epson has participated in the China International Import Expo, which has let Epson deeply feel the firm determination of China to promote its high-level opening-up, Fukaishi said.
"As the most important exhibition platform and communication window for foreign companies in China, CIIE is very important for us to grasp the future development opportunities of the Chinese market. Therefore, this year, we hope to continue to bring more eco-innovative products and solutions to Chinese customers through this open platform," Fukaishi said.
He said that the Chinese market has always been one of the most important markets in Epson's global layout, and Epson China is the only branch within the whole of Epson group that has maintained business growth during the COVID-19 pandemic.
With more than 40 years of experience in China and as one of the first multinational companies to enter the Chinese market, Epson has grown and developed in tandem with China, Fukaishi said. So far, Epson has invested more than $822 million in China, witnessing rapid growth in the fields of inkjet printers, projectors and robotics.
"It is very important for us to strengthen cooperation with our local partners in China and continuously develop new solutions to adapt to industry changes," he said, adding that the company will continuously bring more green and digital products to the Chinese market.
