CNAH celebrates 20th anniversary

China National Aviation Holding recently celebrated its 20th birthday, commemorating its role in connecting China to the rest of the world.
The company was established on Oct 11, 2002, with assets including national flag carrier Air China, China National Aviation Corporation (Group) Limited and China Southwest Airlines.
As of Dec 31 last year, its subsidiary Air China has 746 fleets with an average age of 8.23 years. By cooperating with Star Alliance members, the company extended its service to 1,300 destinations in 195 countries and regions.
The global COVID-19 pandemic has hit the civil aviation industry hard internationally. The decline of air transport capacity has led to challenges in many manufacturers' supply chains. Air China launched a new model to carry cargo with passenger flights. In February 2020, another subsidiary of the company, Air China Cargo reached an agreement with Intel Corporation to use passenger flights transporting products between Singapore and Chengdu, Sichuan province, which has helped to stabilize the supply chains of many large electronics manufacturers in the southwest of China.
The company has also carried vaccines and epidemic control supplies to other countries and regions to battle the pandemic worldwide.
With two decades of development, the company has a balanced domestic and international route network. It is continuing to build a world-class and globally competitive air transportation enterprise.
