Renminbi strengthens against greenback

The central parity rate of the Chinese currency renminbi, or the yuan, strengthened 2 pips to 7.1186 against the US dollar on Friday, according to the China Foreign Exchange Trade System.

Wenling plans to transform 2D barcodes

Wenling, Zhejiang province, plans to transform pastry product bar codes from one-dimensional to 2D barcodes in response to the Global Migration to 2D campaign, which aims to convert current bar codes by the end of 2027. The 2D barcode will provide better product information and simplify numerous supply chain processes. Zhejiang is the world's first demonstration zone for the "GM2D" campaign approved by the Global Standards 1 in August.
