Editor's note: The report delivered at the opening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China stressed high-quality development and a high-standard opening up, said top business executives of international companies in China. Let's see what else have they said.

Rajat Agarwal, President of Henkel Greater China

We welcome the opening report and its messages that reflect the increasing economic strength of China over the past decade, as well as the new goals for the next phase of development.

We are also excited that the report stresses promoting the high-standard opening up of the economy and the insistence on steadily expanding institutional opening up with regard to rules, regulations, management, and standards. These higher opening-up measures will provide further opportunities for companies operating in China and support their development in the market.

Our business footprint in China is deep and the large domestic market plays an important role in our global operations. Since we first established our office in Hong Kong more than 50 years ago, Henkel has grown alongside China, making continuous investments that have supported the development of local industry and workforce.

Looking ahead, the resilience, potential, vitality, and long-term sustainability of the Chinese economy remain unchanged. We look forward to China's stable economic growth as the country expands its efforts in high standard opening-up and pursuing inclusive and balanced development with high-quality growth. Henkel will continue investing in China to further support our customers and consumers with impactful and sustainable innovations.
