JERUSALEM - Israeli defense tech company Elbit Systems said Wednesday that it is set to supply the US army with night vision goggles in an order worth $107 million as part of a deal reached in Oct 2020.
In a statement, the company said that the Enhanced Night Vision Goggle-Binoculars can be connected wirelessly to the rifle-mounted thermal weapon site with an augmented reality overlay.
This enabled rapid target acquisition and improved situational awareness in various battlefield conditions, according to Elbit.
As part of the deal, Elbit will also provide the home-based US army with spare parts, logistics support and test equipment, it noted.
