Investment in water conservancy increases
China invested a record 823.6 billion yuan ($115.9 billion) in water conservancy facilities from January to September, up 64.1 percent year-on-year, said the Ministry of Water Resources. During the first nine months, China began construction of 42 major water conservancy projects, with a combined investment of over 1.9 trillion yuan. The construction of water conservancy projects created 2.09 million jobs during the nine months, including 1.71 million for rural workers.
Anhui to build 10 TCM herbal breeding bases
East China's Anhui province plans to build about 10 traditional Chinese medicine herbal breeding bases from 2022 to 2024, according to a promotion plan for the province's TCM industry. The proposal said Anhui will strive to develop more than 30 varieties of TCM, each with an output value of over 100 million yuan ($14.05 million), in three years.
