HSR project to help develop Xiong'an

To help boost the development of Xiong'an New Area, which was established on April 1, 2017 by the central authorities, a new section of high-speed railway linking Xiong'an with Shangqiu in Henan province has begun construction. The new section, part of Beijing-Xiong'an-Shangqiu HSR, is partially being built by China Railway No 4 Engineering Group Co Ltd and will extend for 552 kilometers with 16 stations, allowing trains to run at a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

Newly registered NEVs increase

The number of newly registered new energy vehicles in China nearly doubled year-on-year in the first nine months, said the Ministry of Public Security. From January to September 2022, 3.71 million NEVs were registered, up 98.48 percent versus the year-earlier period, with NEVs accounting for 21.34 percent of all new automobile registrations.

Courier industry sees expansion

China's courier industry reported steady growth during the weeklong National Day holiday that concluded on Friday, with express delivery firms handling more than 4.1 billion parcels, according to the State Post Bureau. In September, the China express delivery development index, tracking overall express business activities and trends, came in at 353.1, up 13.5 percent month-on-month, the bureau said in a monthly report.
