Hebei savors its salt, a pillar industry

More than 10,000 hectares of salt fields have entered the autumn harvest season in Haixing county of Cangzhou, Hebei province.
As one of the county's pillar industries, salt production can reach 500,000 metric tons annually, valued at 200 million yuan ($28 million), according to the local government.
