Farmers from Pinghe county in Zhangzhou, Fujian province, harvested golden yellow grapefruits recently.
The sweet grapefruits, with red and white pulp, are collected, wrapped, stored and shipped to supermarkets across the country. Grapefruit cultivation in Pinghe has a history of over 500 years. Wanxi grapefruit, a local brand, has become popular nationally.
