UK holds funeral for Queen Elizabeth II

Chu Ting Tang, chairman of the London Chinatown Chamber of Commerce, told Nouvelles d'Europe UK Edition that the queen was very supportive of ethnic minorities, and that she had sent greetings to the chamber on the Chinese New Year for the past 20 years.
"In her congratulatory letter to this year's celebration, she mentioned that the London Chinatown Chamber of Commerce has always emphasized that hope, harmony and home are the essence of Chinese New Year. … She was a good queen for every ethnic group and we all miss her," said Tang, adding that the chamber organized a memorial gathering on Sept 11.
Sun Wei, chairman of the Chinese Community Centre in Cambridge, said the Chinese community in the city was deeply saddened by the queen's death and, as a mark of respect, canceled its celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival on Sept 10.
"For most Chinese tourists to the UK, visiting Buckingham Palace is number one must see," Sun said, adding that it is hard to think of any other world leader who has similar global significance.
Linda Painan, chair of The Expatriate Center in Shanghai, said that the queen's contributions were deeply acknowledged and have had a great impact on promoting peace and prosperity worldwide.
James Dunn, executive director of the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai, said, "For many, Queen Elizabeth II was the only monarch we ever knew — a calming, unifying personality who showed an unwavering dedication to her duty."
