After getting off the train in Wuhan, Hubei province, on Monday, Qian Chao went straight to the Wuhan Young Talent Hub No 1 in the city's Wuchang district and got his room key.

He has seven days of free accommodation — a benefit provided by the local government — as a talented young person seeking job opportunities.

In June, Wuhan launched a series of policies to encourage college graduates to work or start businesses in the city, including free accommodations and services such as employment counseling and business guidance for college graduates up to six years after graduation.

Wuhan Young Talent Hub No 1 became the first on Monday.

In the hub, 70 rooms with 100 beds are available for eligible graduates after they apply via WeChat.
