Intercity railway sees progress in Jiangsu
A key intercity high-speed railway under construction in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, running 278 kilometers and allowing trains to run at 350 kilometers per hour, is progressing well in Nanjing, Jiangsu province. The line running along the south bank of the Yangtze River is partially built by China Railway No 4 Engineering Group Co Ltd. The builder completed erecting the last box girder on Monday on the Nanjing section of the line.
Jan-July cellphone output drops 3.6%
China's cellphone output fell in the first seven months, official data showed on Tuesday. The country produced 863 million handsets during the January-July period, down 3.6 percent year-on-year, said the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. During the period, China's cellphone exports dropped 11.5 percent year-on-year to 470 million units, Customs said.
